All games will have referees and scorekeepers!

N.G.M.T.  FIBA 3x3  RULES

1st team to 21 points or 12 minutes in length (whichever happens first)

“STRAIGHT UP SCORING” that means 3 pointers are worth 3 points, 2 pointers are worth 2 points!

If you are fouled in the act of shooting and MAKE the shot your team gets 2 or 3 points (depending on where it was shot from) PLUS an automatic 1 additional point because of the foul.  If you are fouled in the act of shooting and MISS the shot your team gets awarded one point and you maintain possession of the ball again!  WE DO  NOT SHOOT FREE THROWS DURING THE GAME!

ONE TIMEOUT per team per game!

SHOOT FOR POSSESSION to begin the game!

Defense can only sub if the offense subs or during a timeout or injury!

ALL JUMPBALLS are awarded to the team that is playing defense at that time of the jumpball!

AFTER ANY OUT OF BOUNDS OR ANY DEAD BALLS-the ball must get “CHECKED IN” at the top of the key above the 3 point line.  It is a LIVE BALL then and may be passed, dribbled or shot!

ALL CHANGES OF POSSESSION must get taken back ANYWHERE behind the 3 point line and no part of their body can still be inside the 3 point line to consider it TAKEN BACK!  If the team shooting the ball gets the rebound they can continue to shoot.  If the defensive team gets the rebound or steals the ball (even if an airball is shot) the defense must take the ball back behind the arc before they are permitted to score!

NO CHECKINS after made baskets!

THERE ARE NO TIE GAMES-in case of a tie, each team chooses a player to shoot a free throw until one team makes their free throw and the opposing team misses their free throw.  Players only shoot ONE FREE THROW.  If both teams make/miss their attempt then each team picks a DIFFERENT PLAYER to each shoot a free throw until the tie is broken!
